Mystery Pain Session: Sliding Scale

Be in conversation with your body & your pain

Service Description

Pain is here to teach us and to bring about change--physically, mentally and emotionally. Mysterious pain doesn't correlate with an injury, but shows up one day--sometimes with other symptoms which can leave us confused and unsure what to do. Depending who you ask, you will encounter a myriad of options that may or may not work. So what's your best option? Get curious! During this 90 min Body Dialogue session, you will start to tease apart fact from fiction by working with the sensations you feel until you have a better idea of what your pain is trying to tell you. Once you know that, it becomes much easier to know how to care for it best. The purpose of this is not for diagnosis but rather to kickstart the healing mechanisms of your nervous system.

Cancellation Policy

Please note my unique cancellation policy : This business is built on the practice of listening to your body and responding to its needs. If you feel unable to attend a scheduled session, no matter how close it is to your appointment time, please cancel your appointment, communicate that with me via email and reschedule for a later date. If you are sick, dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous, these are good reasons to cancel. (Also note: sometimes our sessions are richest when you aren't feeling your best, so you are welcome to show up as you are) Let it be known that I may also need to cancel occasionally for the sake of my body. Your session package will be billed on a monthly basis regardless of when you attend. Out of respect for my time, you are responsible for ensuring you complete your sessions within the given time period (4 months, 6 months, or 12 months). Otherwise, they will expire. If you have a medical need for more time, please request a hold on your package.

I live, work and play on the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish people; xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. I seek to create a future where we can correct our collective wrong doings and create peace for all. I believe that the more in tune we become with our own bodies that the better we can caretake each other, connect with the land and the people from whom this land was stolen.
